The Aquatherm^®SP1 The Water Washable Thermal Negative Plate is an environmentally friendly plate manufactured by Mylan Printing Media Corporation. It is a bright green color plate that can be processed on or off press. After exposing at 120mJ/cm2 on any thermal platesetter using 800nm to 830nm laser, the Aquatherm®SP1 provides a high contrast yellow image and is handwashable off press with water and hand soap. The Aquatherm®SP1 prints over 50,000 impressions at 120mJ/cm2 and, for long run length, up to 100,000 impressions at 150mJ/cm2. The Aquatherm®SP1 plate also works well with UV inks.
