Mylan Group signed an evaluation agreement with Ricoh Printing Systems America (RPSA)

Mylan Group signed an evaluation agreement with Ricoh Printing Systems America (RPSA), Inc of Simi Valley, California to evaluate RPSA’s GEN-4 printheads in a printer system of Mylan Group’s design. The robust Gen-4 printhead is based on a piezo piston pusher with metallic diaphragm plate design with 384 channels and two ink support.

The Gen-4 printhead has a native drop volume of 7 pico-liter with variable drop size for grey-scale. The printhead can operate at jetting frequency up to 30 kHz, at temperature range up to 60 oC, and at viscosity up to 12 cPs at operating temperature. Further, the Gen-4 is capable of jetting water, solvent, oil, or UV curable inks. Mylan Group will employ the Ricoh’s Gen-4 printheads to evaluate the feasibility of iCTP, variable data printing for in-line press, among others. Mylan Group will incorporate into the feasibility testing various proprietary patented technologies in nano-particles such as PolyNP®, eco-friendly line of inks such as EcoJet®, and dendritic adhesion promoters such as Octopus. Customized integration of tailored systems is now available direct to selected, qualified end users. Please contact our sales associates for details.
